02: Apptaura’s Heritage
Apptaura’s journey began in 2014 as "Apps In The Sky," founded by two school friends coding apps from a spare bedroom in Hampshire.
What started as a passion project quickly evolved: today the business is led by Thom Gibbons (CEO) and Tom Colvin (CTO & Google Developer Expert for Android).
The team now works remotely across the Thames Valley, from Farnborough to Swindon, while staying true to our spiritual home of Basingstoke.
In 2020 we rebranded to Apptaura, reflecting our broader capabilities, no-nonsense culture, and client-centric approach that serves everyone from start-ups to blue-chips.
